Deliveries of the 2010 Nantucket Skiff have begun and now's the time to place your order. The first several boats are spoken for but production is ramping up and openings are still available for delivery this season. The new model features increased storage, standard forward seating and a self-bailing deck. The Nantucket Skiff is a traditionally styled yet modern design offering both elegant looks and exceptional performance. Construction is of the highest standard using a complete composite stiffening system and a fully foamed unsinkable hull. The unique bottom design of its fiberglass hull provides a smooth ride under all conditions. With a rare blend of modern engineering and old world craftsmanship, all appointments are of teak, bronze and stainless steel, which clearly sets the Nantucket Skiff apart from the rest.

Built by Roth Boat Builders with over thirty years of experience building finely crafted small boats, the Nantucket Skiff is both an investment in quality and economy. A family can enjoy the better part of a day from six gallons of fuel. Swift enough to pull a tube or skier and miserly enough to troll all day long, the Nantucket Skiff is able to fit the entire family’s needs.

Standard features include a self-bailing cockpit, bilge pump, fuel tank with gauge, battery switch, teak trim with Cetol finish, wooden steering wheel, custom bronze running lights and cleats, foot wells, non skid surfaces, storage under the seats, and towing rings on the bow and stern.

See our 2010 Nantucket Skiff slide show for pictures of the new boat taken recently at our home port of Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The Newport International Boat Show was terrific! So was the Norwalk Boat Show & Waterfront Festival! We're excited to have exhibited with Brewer Yacht Sales. Check out some of the boats that were on display in our Newport and Norwalk Photo Galleries.

We just delivered a 2010 Nantucket Skiff to David Seaman in Nova Scotia. His new boat drew admiring comments everywhere and looked right at home in the Maritimes. David’s boat is fitted with such custom features as teak covers on the forward seating, a teak jump seat at the transom and a brass rub rail, typical of the special requests Roth Boat Builders can happily accommodate.

Click above to see a slide show of David's first rides with his family and friends.

We had a great weekend in Rockland, Maine at the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show. Our new 2010 Nantucket Skiff looked right at home in this rarified atmosphere. I'd never seen anything like this event, and there was nothing comparable to the Nantucket Skiff on display. Check out our extensive slide show of the incredible boats in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and thanks to the folks at Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors.

About

“For over thirty years I have been building and using small boats and I truly believe what we have is the finest ‘Little Skiff’ on the market today. Quite simply, a better boat for those who know the difference.” .................Chris Roth

From the beginning, the Roth name has been associated with well-built, traditionally styled small boats. Over thirty years ago the lineage began with a robust 15 foot center console skiff and several dory-style tenders. After ten years a larger 18 foot model evolved as well as a 21 footer.

More recently, Chris Roth spent time repairing and restoring select craft but his desire to build returned and Roth Boat Builders is now pleased to present the first in a line of simple yet elegant craft that will please the eye and wow the expert with their performance.

With the extreme changes in fuel costs, Roth Boat Builders proudly offers you the most economical, fuel-efficient concepts of boat designs on the market today.

Come share our quest for perfection. Let Chris Roth build a boat for you!
